The Westwood Transportation Department is ready for our 2nd semester of school. The new 2017 year brings a lot of challenges. My staff has done an excellent job for the first semester of school. I cannot commend them enough for the job they do daily.
Teachers, coaches and staff, please fill out your end of year Trip Requests as quickly as possible for scheduling.
The Transportation Office hours are from 5 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. Any questions or transportation needs can be directed to Phil Nedbalek, Transportation Director at 903-723-0425. Transportation Assistant, Angela Thompson can assist you with scheduling or route issues and route locations.
In closing, the Transportation Department is committed to providing the students and faculty with a safe, clean and effective Transportation system for Westwood ISD.
Our department will continue to give 100% daily to doing what is best for the safety of our students.
Thank you everyone for your continued support.
IMPORTANT: Rules Update for 2016-2017
- Please have your child at the Bus Stop 5 minutes early each morning to avoid missing the bus. Students need to be physically seen and in plain sight for the bus driver.
- If your child misses the bus, the parent or guardian will be responsible for the child's transportation to school.
- In the afternoons, a student under 9 years of age will not be able to get off the bus unless a parent or guardian is visible or at the bus stop. The student will be taken back to the Transportation Office and will be picked up from there.
We are currently taking applications only for Bus Drivers and Bus Monitors for the 2016 - 2017 school year.
